Lately I’ve noticed I spend almost as much time watching streams as I do playing. The other night, I had a long day at work and didn’t feel like grinding through quests myself, so I just put on someone else’s playthrough and chilled. Honestly, it gave me the same buzz as if I were in the game, but without the effort. Do you think gaming is moving toward this blend of playing and spectating being equally valid ways to “experience” a game?

I don’t usually follow streams closely, but I like having one running in the background while I cook or clean. It feels kind of like listening to a podcast, except with more energy and interaction. Even if I’m not paying attention to every move on screen, the mix of voices and random moments of hype or laughter just makes the house feel less quiet.
