Hey everyone, I recently cut my long curls into a shorter style and now I can't figure out how to manage them. They either puff up too much or fall flat depending on the product. Anyone else had a similar issue and found something that works consistently?

It took me a while to adjust after I made the cut too. The biggest thing that helped was understanding how much moisture my hair needed—turned out I was over-conditioning. For styling tips and inspiration, I found short curly hair examples super helpful in figuring out what shape and texture I could realistically maintain. I also started using a diffuser again with a low heat setting and it made a huge difference. Plopping with a microfiber towel also reduced frizz like crazy. Another game changer was switching to a curl cream that’s lighter in texture so my hair didn’t look weighed down. If you haven’t already, check how your hair reacts to protein treatments too, especially if it’s been dyed or chemically treated before. It’s trial and error, but you’ll get there.
Yeah, short curls can be tricky until you find the right combo of cut and product. I’d say play around with layering and maybe a curl enhancer.
